TropeTrainer™ software is designed to run on computers running Microsoft Windows®. Unfortunately, none of the tools that we rely on heavily—including the speech synthesis component—run on a Mac. This and other reasons prevents us from building a version for the Macintosh at this time and in the foreseeable future.

For those who would like to run TropeTrainer™ software on a Macintosh, there is a way: A product called VirtualPC™ for Mac® from Microsoft™ Macintosh Business Unit. (http://www.microsoft.com/mac) lets Windows programs (such as TropeTrainer software) run on Macintosh™ Computers.

Users of TropeTrainer software running in a VirtualPC environment will find that operation of the software is a bit more sluggish, and the sound a little more "grainy" then when the software is running on a Windows computer. Other than this, others have found TropeTrainer software to be quite useful in this environment.

Kinnor Software, Inc. supports TropeTrainer software running under VirtualPC, although we neither sell nor support the VirtualPC product itself.
